Diggin Dahlias

So I started growing dahlias a couple of years ago.  As with anything I do I soon became infatuated with them.  So what I'm gonna show you now is a quick look at how to get those things out of the ground and stored for next year.  Since Dahlias multiply sort of like potatoes you will amass a large quantity quickly.  I'm not an expert but I dig mine after the frost has blackened all the leaves on the plants.  To be more specific about a week following that episode.  

Be very careful as they're extremely delicate and if you break their little necks they wont come back next year. Even light duty with the hose please... And try to keep just a small portion of the stem or main portion of the bulb (or tuber as it were) with the end of each individual tuber. Here we go in pictures!

Now.  Pack all of the individual tubers into vermiculite or some other drying material to keep them safe.  No moisture.  No sunlight.  No mice.  No heat!  35-50 f

The sports fan

I think professional sports teams should omit the manufacturing of XXL and greater sizes.  I have no issues with my weight and do not look down on those who battle weight but I think if you're gonna wear a Miami Heat jersey it should look like one...if you're buying a Miami Heat car cover so be it. The two should be easily distinguishable.  

There you go.  I said it.  Sue me.

Chinese SuperFund

I despise the fact that Americans have taken the celebration of our Independence and turned it into a fund for the Chinese economy.  Do America a favor and buy only American fireworks and flags or don't buy any.  Good luck finding them.  If you can't then just have a good time with your family and friends...you don't need rockets.

I suddenly realize how unimportant I am.  I see now how unimportant all of my intentions are.  I've wasted  a lot of time on you who I do not know. You've wasted too much time on me and listened too little when I was talking. Talking.  Talking.  all I've ever done.  Inhale and sleep. My next course of action. 

See a show, send some love.

   Without purpose is a terrible place to be. Without assistance when you need it is even worse. This past year I was uncertain what to do with my life at least as far as music is concerned. At the same time there are countless children with specific, special needs that can only rely on others to provide them.
    I love children and like most people, I really enjoy feeling useful. I finally put 2 and 2 together.
